I think X: The TV Series is yet another little-known Anime gem. It's chock full of great stuff: tragic heroes, deeply developed characters, and totally kick-ass fight scenes. What more could you ask for?

Sherlock Holmes, doujinshi, and...yaoi?!

Calendarlive.com, a division of the LA Times, recently had an article about fanfiction or "non-canonical" stories that expand the Sherlock Holmes stories. In this article, the author references similarities with doujinshi and Yaoi. I never really thought that Sherlock Holmes and yaoi would be referenced in one article.

Loveless: Shounen-ai so wrong it has to be right

In this post we'll review Loveless. Loveless is one of the few shonen-ai manga that has been adapted into an animated series. It's a well produced anime, with great art, great characterization, and a great soundtrack by Yuki Kajiura. The series as a whole is a tad bit disappointing though.

Kizuna Signature Edition DVD coming in March

I'm a little late on this one, but you probably haven't heard about it anyway. Be Beautiful, America’s leading publisher of yaoi graphic novels, has announced the release of the Kizuna: Kazuma Kodaka Signature Edition DVD. The yaoi classic will now be available on a DVD chock full of goodies, including words from the creator herself.
