The past 48 hours have brought a ton of news and excitement for all those looking forward to the Transformers movie release. I’ll admit I was skeptical about Michael Bay’s execution of one of the best cartoons of the 80s, but I take back everything I said. This movie is going to be awesome.

Movie Posters! Optimus Prime head-to-head with Megatron

The movie poster releases were particularly exciting for me. I believe this is the first glimpse we’ve gotten of Megatron and Optimus Prime in their humanoid forms.

And then there are the new trailers, particularly the “Destiny” trailer. The scene with StarScream transforming in mid flight and propelling himself onto a building….just…..wow.

There a lot of sites and blogs talking about the news, but I think the best I’ve found so far is at FirstShowing.net. They’ve got a lot of good coverage on all aspects of the latest news (including a speculative movie length of 2 and a half hours!?!)
