VIZ plans to release a buttload of Naruto stuff
VIZ media announced today that they’re going to aggressively appease all the Naruto fans out there by releasing a broad campaign that will drastically increase the frequency of Naruto manga releases.
In order to catch up to the present Japanese release schedule and to prepare readers for upcoming notable changes in the main character and story arc, VIZ Media will offer three new volumes of NARUTO per-month from September through December 2007 – a first for any U.S. manga publisher.
This is a good move, and I would bet that VIZ knows that many of their potential customers got tired of being behind on the storyline and downloaded scanslations. Still, VIZ has a hell of a long ways to go to catch up to the Japan releases. I think it would be great for a U.S. publisher to one day provide a release schedule that’s only 1 or 2 months behind the releases in Japan.
But alas, for now ’tis only a dream. :icon_rolleyes:
VIZ is doing a bunch of other Naruto-related stuff too, including releasing a full color manga that depicts the story of Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash In the Land of Snow (which is coming to US theaters this summer, btw). The rest of the stuff you can read for yourself in the link below :icon_cool:
