A great review on a different type of Manga
The Daily Yomiuri has an excellent review of The Push Man, a vintage collection of manga that visits the daily lives of various Japanese men in the 1960’s. It’s a great review about a very different kind of manga.
From the review:
“The main concerns of these men in society’s lower reaches are paying the bills, getting laid and staving off despair. In each of the 16 stories translated into English in the collection The Push Man–released late last year by Canadian comics publisher Drawn and Quarterly–one or more of those three efforts goes horribly wrong.”
I’d never heard of The Push Man collection, but after reading this review I’m certainly going to seek it out. I suggest you do the same. :icon_cool:
