I was trolling around the web as usual when I stumbled upon a forum post that mentioned a Japanese musical based on Air Gear, the popular manga and anime by Oh Great! After a little research I confirmed this to be true. Does anyone else find this a little…..strange?
Here’s an excerpt from the recently updated Air Gear Wiki:

The series has also been made into a musical, which will make its debut on January 7th, 2007 and run til January 21st, 2007 with tickets going on sale on November 23rd, 2006. Performances for the Air Gear musical will be held in Tokyo at the Space Zero Theater and in Osaka at the Theater BRAVA. The cast will feature Kamakari Kenta and KENN, reprising their roles from the anime respectively as Ikki and Kazu with Masaki Kaji (who had also starred with KenKen and KENN in The Prince of Tennis Musicals), RUN＆GUN, Kenjiro Tsuda etc. as their co-stars.

I really don’t have any words for this one……
